·        Day 1 -  History of telescopes. (Galileo to modern telescopes).

·        Day 2 -  Types of telescopes, ray diagrams, parts of telescopes, Errors of telescopes

·        Day 3 -  Calculations related to telescopes, Eyepieces and filters, How to select a telescope for you.

·        Day 4 -  Telescope mounts, Modern ground based observatories and space telescopes.

Lectures are conducted by experienced professionals of the Institute of Astronomy Sri Lanka, trained under Homi Bhabha centre for science education India

A valuable E-certificate will be issued at the completion of the short course and the certificate will be email after the program.

Suitable for anyone over 11 years old (Grade 6 and above), willing to learn Astronomy from beginning.
